Crispín Gómez

Senior Verification Engineer

I’ve been fascinated by computers ever since I was a child. I wanted to understand how they worked on the inside, a curiosity that developed naturally at home: my two older brothers studied computer science, and for as long as I can remember, there were always computers around me. It was almost inevitable that I would end up pursuing this field.

I studied Computer Science, and after graduating, I joined a research group at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) to pursue my PhD, specializing in high-performance computing. Those were intense and very rewarding years: I received several awards and even co-supervised students who joined the group after me.

After completing my PhD, I joined Intel’s research division for next-generation processor technologies. There, I was put in charge of a team dedicated to analyzing power consumption and performance, and we also received several internal awards within the company.

Over time, my career evolved from purely technical work toward team leadership and project management, a transition that allowed me to contribute from a broader perspective.
