Talent Advisor ChipNL CC – Project Lead Semicon Talent, Brainport Development

Nick Hol leads semiconductor talent development at ChipNL Competence Centre for South-West NL, working at the intersection of industry, government, and education to shape Dutch and European semiconductor talent initiatives. He drives stakeholder management and project development across regional, national, and EU levels, working on national skills intelligence, digital talent platforms among other topics. Besides talent, he is also involved in technology scouting for semicon innovations for the ChipNL CC.

 

Background

Before stepping into this role, Nick built a track record that spans research,  social entrepreneurship, deep-tech and funding (VC & public funds). He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Applied Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology,  earning the Best Master Thesis of 2025 , and completed a Harvard Research Fellowship that resulted in a published international PCT patent; As co-founder of BOOST, he helped build a €2.8 million student innovation fund uniting 10 major regional educational institutions; and together with his student team SOLID won multiple regional & national awards for developing a novel hydrogen storage technology. He is an ex-ASML Technology Scholarship recipient as one of 40 top technical master’s students selected in 2022.
